Meh. I can't think of any other word to describe my feelings about this.
Side note: With that rear overhang the thing must handle that a boat.

To be honest, I like the rear end of the current generation better than this rendering. Looks more boring and less edgy.

I wish the taillights were more fin-like, like it is on the ELR.
At least have the trailing edge mirror the front headlights or something.

That's cool. Unfortunately, most Americans, when they decide they "need" something more than a coupe or sedan, buy a four-door, long bed truck. Or a gigantinormous SUV. Call them what you want, but "station wagons" just don't sell well here.

Maybe if we'd be talking about a 2020 CTS wagon. However, if Cadillac wants a real presence in Europe in 2014/15 they have to offer the ATS, an ATS wagon and multiple diesel and multiple gasoline options for the ATS.
The CTS will only have potential in Europe after Cadillac has become a known name, which it hasn't at the moment. I think asking a random European what a 'Cadillac' is will probably result in answers like 'a French dish/cheese/city' or if they do know a little bit about cars 'one of those huge black floaty American boats mobsters drive in 1970s movies' or 'one of those pink convertibles with wings'.

And all electric cars are golf carts, but the Model S seems to be doing OK.

Tesla offers something truly unique and new. Cadillac doesn't.
